New subject type: Landscape

The Landscape subject type is now available in the image data form (when you upload an image or when you modify it via the Edit menu).

As this is new, all past images that are a landscape are not tagged correctly (probably Extremely wide field or Other) and therefore the search for landscape images appears pretty empty now.

Please go to your landscape images, click on the Edit menu, choose Content, and change the Subject type to Landscape.

Nested collections (and more improvements)

Thanks to suggestions by Gary Imm, I made a few improvements to the image collections feature.

• You can now have nested collections

• You can now format a collection's description better (preserving newlines and HTML content)

• You can now see the collections key/value tag on the mouse-hover for images in that collection (useful to make sure you tagged images correctly)

Other smaller but noteworthy improvements

If you have manually or automatically submitted an image for IOTD/TP consideration during the past year, when you publish a new image and you don't submit it, you will be reminded about the approaching deadline (which is 30 days after publication. As with all notifications, this can be turned off in the settings.
